I was planning to spend the day walking down the Wirral Peninsula's west coast with a work mate.
This work mate persuaded me to have a walk to Hilbre Island, as it is known.
It is in fact an archipelago of three islands. It is obvious from West Kirby that it is certainly one large island and a small island.
Although I do visit the west of the Wirral every now and then, it has been about 27 years since I previously walked to Hilbre.
Anyway, glad I got persuaded as these shots show.
