I spent the afternoon of my 41st birthday enjoying some some fine views from New Brighton (on the north of the Wirral Peninsula) towards Liverpool.

Wonderful Cornish Coastal Views

I have spent this weekend in Cornwall, due to a family wedding.  I have also been fortunate to be able to spend some time travelling around the Cornish coast.  Here is a taste of some fantastic coastal scenery.

A randomn visit to Ilfracombe, in North Devon.

On route to a family wedding in my wife's family in Cornwall, we took a little detour to Ilfracombe.  For those who don't know, Ilfracombe is located on the coast of North Devon.

My desire to pop into Ilfracombe came from a family summer holiday in Devon over 30 years ago.  I recall my Dad drove us all from where we were staying, to Ilfracombe for an evening meal.  

I didn't remember anything about Ilfracombe, except that it was a nice place.  Well today, I got a sense of how very special Ilfracombe is, with it's sea views and picturesque harbour.
